SISchool at a Glance
Location
We are in Olbia, in the north of Sardinia, just 8 minutes from the city’s biggest beach and 30 minutes from the Costa Smeralda, a leading destination for luxury tourism. Our campus at Via Georgia, 6 is surrounded by nature, with the Mediterranean on our doorstep and opportunities for adventure in every season.
Day school
We are an international day school for ages 6 to 18. In 2026/27 our classes are open for ages 6 to 14, with a new class for ages 14–15 opening in 2027. With a teacher-to-student ratio of 1:5, every child is supported and challenged, and their well-being is at the heart of everything we do.
Boarding
From September 2027, SISchool will welcome boarding students alongside our day students.
Curriculum
One pathway in two divisions. Primary Paritaria (6–11) follows the Italian national curriculum, taught through English. Secondary (11–16) follows our own international curriculum, then IGCSE courses from September 2027. The IB Diploma (16–18) is coming in 2028/29.
Language
English is our language of instruction. Italian is developed in parallel as a full academic language for ages 6 to 14, and Spanish is part of the Secondary curriculum. Every meeting with families, and all our information, is available in English and Italian.
The school day
A full day from 08:00 to 18:00 gives every child time for lessons, activities and clubs, with meals cooked on site every morning, and no extra planning for families.
How we learn
Children learn by doing: in our Science Lab & Technology Hub, in our glass library and outdoors under the Mediterranean sun. Sport, music and drama are part of every week, and children discover new interests and talents along the way.
Beyond the classroom
From sport to music and drama, our clubs and activities run every afternoon until 18:00, all included in the tuition.
Premium activities
Being based in Sardinia opens doors to a wondrous natural landscape and activities almost no school can provide. Through our local partnerships, these three programmes are available at an additional cost.
Faculty & staff
Our international team of teachers and staff brings global expertise from schools in 28 countries, working alongside Italian specialists.
Families
Families are partners. Across the year we open our doors for coffee mornings, celebrations, performances and exhibitions, and our Parents’ Network welcomes every new family.
Calendar
Our academic year runs from September to June. The dates for each year are on the pages of our Primary and Secondary divisions.
History
Sardinia International School opened in Olbia in 2025: proudly international and proudly Sardinian.
