Well-being & Inclusion

Above everything

Keeping children safe

Safeguarding is the foundation underneath everything else we do, across both divisions. Every adult who works at or visits the school shares the duty to keep children safe, and all staff are trained to notice, listen and act.

  1. Every visitor signs in

All visitors sign in at Reception, show identification if requested, and wear a visitor lanyard on site.

  2. Photos only on school devices

Staff never use personal phones or cameras to photograph pupils. Images are taken only on school devices, for approved purposes, with parental consent.

  3. Official channels only

Staff communicate with families only through official school channels.

  4. No pets on school grounds

Parents and visitors are asked not to bring pets and animals onto school grounds.

  5. First aid on site

Trained first aiders are on site, kits are located throughout the school, and a portable kit travels on every visit. You are always informed of anything beyond minor bumps; all head injuries are assessed and reported to you.

  6. Allergies and medical needs

Allergies and medical conditions: tell us everything and keep us updated. Allergies are managed carefully at lunch and during activities.

Our approach

Kind and consistent

We aim to be a community in which pupils learn and grow in a calm, safe and happy environment.

Every pupil is asked to:

Speak and act with respect
Behave safely and move calmly
Be ready to learn and listen
Look after our environment
Be kind, helpful and peaceful
Culture

Good behaviour, encouraged the warm way

Our reward systems are centred around our core values. Children are celebrated in class, in assemblies, and with notes home to parents.

Growing up means making mistakes now and then. When a child gets it wrong, we help them put it right, calmly and step by step:

1Reminder
2Warning
3Time away
4Reflection
5Leadership

Serious behaviour, including any aggression or anything that puts anyone at risk, goes straight to leadership, and we will always contact you.

Families are partners

A community we build together

The best outcomes happen when school and home pull in the same direction, so families are part of school life from the very first day.

Our door is always open: when something matters to a child, we want to hear about it early, so that together we can make it right.
