🎤 What inspired you to become a teacher?
🔶 "Growing up with a mother who was a primary school teacher, the school environment has always felt like home. My true inspiration was the 'magic' of language. At age six, I was so fascinated by new sounds that I begged for an English course from a newsstand! I've always known this was my path."
🎤 What helped you most when you were learning new languages yourself? 🔶 "Besides English, I’ve studied German and Spanish. What helped me most was a genuine desire to communicate. I see language learning as a journey of discovery that allows for a much deeper connection with others. It’s about more than words; it’s about heart."
🎤 What is your top tip for students learning a new language?
🔶 "Don’t focus too much on literal translation! Accept that some expressions 'just are the way they are'. Stop comparing every word to your own language — it makes the whole process so much more relaxed and enjoyable."
🎤 What do you enjoy most about teaching Italian language and culture? 🔶 "It’s incredibly rewarding watching students find their 'Italian voice' and gain the confidence to express themselves. By sharing the culture of Italy and Sardinia, I hope to help them feel truly connected to their home here and see the world through a richer, global lens." 🎨
